Happy Christmas! If you are coming over from County Road 407 then, welcome! How beautiful is Cindy’s home?!

I am so excited to be a part of the Holiday Home Tours hosted by my beautiful friend Kelly of The Tattered Pew. If you are new here, my name is Elizabeth and I am the creator behind Country Peony, a DIY and craft blog that focuses on simple and inexpensive projects to inspire everyone to create in their own homes. I truly believe that we are all creative, and we all have something beautiful to share. So thank you for being here!

Pink Christmas at the Country Peony Craft Studio

Today I would love to feature my craft studio: The Country Peony Studio. The exterior wood and some of the interior wood of the building was salvaged from a general store from the late 1800s just down the road, here in Texas. I love the look of the old barnwood and the beautiful story that it tells. If you want to read more about the history of the original building and the vision for the Country Peony Studio, please visit this blog post.

I hope to provide a space to dream, create, and collaborate. I hope to provide creative workshops wheer people can dream and create together! The old wood has such a wonderful story, and I can’t wait to add more wonderful stories to its life with this studio.

Now on to the Christmas Tour!

Pink Christmas at the Country Peony Studio

Pink has always been a favorite of mine! It reminds me to stay playful and open minded to dream, just like I did as a young girl. As a young girl, I always wanted to have a large pink Christmas tree. So when it came time to decorate for my first Christmas in the Country Peony Studio I had pink on my mind.

In addition to pink, I was inspired by whimsical, vintage design. That is the kind of crafts that I tend to create here at Country Peony so it was only fitting to fit this theme. I went with touches of red, mint green, blush pink, and bright pink to achieve this look.

If you have been following along behind-the-scenes on my Instagram and Facebook page, you may have noticed that I have been having so much fun decorating for the studio this year because I don’t have any rules. The only rule was to have fun with the process. I hope this inspires you to decorate with a color palette that makes your heart happy this holiday season.

Before we get started, here is a video showcasing each space decorated in the studio for the holidays. Please enjoy it, then continue along for more pictures.

Now follow along for some fun details of the Country Peony Studio through pictures.

Front Porch at the Country Peony Studio

I found these large wooden nutcrackers at a local craft store, and I knew they would make the perfect, whimsical statement piece for the front porch. I added some pink and red paint, and now they are a beautiful one-of-a-kind statement piece that matches my front porch so well. I will share more about the DIY process of these nutcrackers in a later blog post. Stay tuned!

I am a big fan of wreaths, and so when I spotted these charming tinsel wreaths at Big Lots for $5, I jumped on them. I knew they would be the perfect base for my whimsical Christmas theme. I added some vintage baubles, bottlebrush trees, and a new bow. I also plan to share the DIY for these wreath upgrades in a blog post soon. Stay tuned for that as well!

I love how happy and welcoming the front porch is, and I love how the tinsel glistens in the sun! It is a beautiful way to come to work, and to greet guests!

Whimsical Mantle with Presents, Baubles, Vintage Santa, and Disco Balls

Pink Christmas at the Country Peony Craft Studio

My vintage mantle is a wonderful opportunity for a fun and whimsical installation. The inspiration for this installation came from the Colorful Pom-Pom Christmas Tree that I made several years ago. You can see the full tutorial HERE. I loved the color scheme, and the whimsical nature of the pom-poms.

I painted some simple boxes and added a graphic ribbon to create a whimsical wall installation inside the mantle. Then, I added some vintage chalk art banks of Mr. and Mrs. Claus to stand on either side of the mantle.

Lastly, I created an asymmetrical design with glass Christmas trees on top of the mantle, a colorful Christmas bauble wreath from Wal Mart, and a vintage-inspired garland from Wal Mart.

I love this fun corner, and conversation starter in my studio. I hope it inspires you to think outside of the box to create a whimsical vignette that makes your heart happy!

I plan to share more details about this design process soon.

Antique General Store Cabinet with my Bottle Brush Tree Collection

Pink Christmas at the Country Peony Craft Studio

I had so much fun decorating my most recent find for the studio: general store cabinet. My husband recently found this incredible general store display cabinet on Facebook Marketplace for an incredible price. It originally came from a general store in Colorado, and I am so excited to bring it to the studio since the wooden bones of the studio were a general store.

I loved adding my bottlebrush tree collection to it. And, I can not wait to add other seasonal decor throughout the year.

Pink Sink Kitchenette

When I was designing the studio, I wanted to create special moments of delight through the design choices within the space. I had the same goal when I was decorating for Christmas. I loved adding little moments of joy, like a small cluster of bottlebrush trees and my vintage deer with some original art by my favorite artists around my beloved vintage pink sink.

My Pink Christmas Tree

I believe the star of the show is my pink Christmas tree. I recently wrote a blog post all about it. You can read it HERE.

Pink Christmas at the Country Peony Craft Studio

I chose the stunning 7.5” Pink Flock Christmas Tree from King of Christmas. Then, last month I was so lucky to partner with Woodpeckers Crafts to create charming wooden ornaments. You can see the full tutorial HERE.

In addition to the wooden ornaments, I added disco balls, tinsel garland, and an ornament ball garland. Then, I added some more details to the tree because when it comes to Christmas more is more for me! To play off the ornament garland and vintage them, I added some vintage glass baubles. Then, I pulled some blush faux florals from their stems and I added them to the tree for a whimsical and feminine flair. To finish off the tree, I added bows of frayed velvet ribbon to the ends of the branches

I love how this tree turned out! It is the perfect mix of whimsy and pretty, and it makes me so happy everytime I look at it. I hope this inspires you to decorate your house in whatever color palette your heart desires.

Pink Floral Bathroom

Lastly, I had to add one of my handmade wreaths to the door of my charming bathroom. You can read more about my bathroom HERE.
