3 Ingredient Peach Cobbler
My husband loves peach cobbler. So when I saw this recipe from Momcrieff circulating Pinterest I knew I had to give it a try! The epitome of simple, yet o-so delicious, this dessert did not disappoint.
For this dessert, you will need:
-1 stick of salted butter (cold)
-1 box of yellow cake mix
-1 jar of sliced, canned peaches
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Add the peaches with juice to an un-greased oven-safe dish. You can cut up the peaches if you like smaller bites. As you can see above I chose not to cut my peaches up.
Step 2: Pour the yellow cake mix on top of the peaches. Lightly spread the cake mix with a knife or your fingers so that the cake mix layer covers the peaches. Don't press into the peaches as you want the two layers to stay separate.
Step 3: Cut up the cold salted butter into about 1 inch slices, and lay them flat on top of the cake mix. Ensure the butter is cold so that the crust becomes nice and flaky. Also ensure that your butter covers all corners of the cake mix so that the butter melts evenly into every delicious nook and cranny.
Step 4: Place the dish into the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes. Let the oven do all of the work as your house starts to smell like you have been baking for hours. Once the timer dings and your crust is buttery, golden brown you are done!
You can use any canned fruit your heart desires.
Next time you are invited to a last-minute potluck you can easily whip up this dish with items you probably have in your kitchen, and you are sure to impress!
