Are you ready for another fun Christmas tree makeover? Today I am so excited to showcase my Summer Christmas Tree. You may remember that I purchased this King of Christmas pink tree for the Country Peony Studio in the Fall. I had so much fun decorating it for Christmas, and so I decided to also decorate it for Valentine’s Day and Spring. Today I want to show you how I transformed my pink tree in the Country Peony Studio to become the Summer Christmas tree!
Summertime Christmas Tree
This tree has brought me so much joy, and before we get started I wanted to highlight some tips that I learned along the way:
Decorate for Joy! This tree has brought some interesting conversations over on my Facebook page. Most people are very complimentary, but some don’t see why I would spend my time decorating a tree for each season. The reason is because it brings me joy! So here is your reminder to decorate your home in a way that brings YOU joy, because YOU are living there! My Summer Christmas Tree greets me every morning, and I can honestly say it makes me smile every morning!
Add the unexpected. Tulips, flamingos, and beach balls are an unusual decoration for a tree, but they are the perfect addition because they are cheerful and so reminiscent of Summer. I love these faux tulips that are very lifelike.
Forgo perfection and have fun with it! Enjoy the process.
When in doubt, walk away and come back to the project with a clearer mind.
Play with different textures. I love how the sparkly disco balls, velvet bows, shiny beach balls, and faux florals all play together.

Decorating a Summer Christmas Tree
When designing any new project, I think of the color palette first. I like to hone in on atleast 3 colors. I knew I wanted pink because of the tree, and I wanted to incorporate yellow because of Summertime. With those two colors in mind, I was then on the lookout for an inspiration piece. My inspiration came while I was at Dollar Tree with my children and I spotted these charming pink flamingos. After that I knew I wanted to go in the direction of a beach theme so I purchased these charming sunshine beach balls for the added whimsy, and these miniature beach balls for added fun and color!
Before I added the new items, I removed the light purple and light blue linen bows, as well as the purple flowers from the Spring Christmas Tree. I kept the rest of the faux florals, velvet ribbons, disco balls, and baubles on the tree. Then, I added the flamingos and beach balls around the tree.
The size of the flamingos and beach balls were high impact, and they helped fill in holes in the tree! I didn’t have to use that many.
Enjoy Your Summer Christmas Tree
I LOVE how my Summer Christmas Tree turned out! I hope this post inspires you to step out of your decorating comfort zone and decorate with what brings you joy! Because, that is what it is all about!
Thank you so much for following along. I hope you enjoy decorating your home and space in a way that brings you joy!
