Create Daily with Tangi
*This post was created through a paid partnership with Tangi. However, all opinions are honest and 100% my own.
Today I want to tell you about what is helping to lift my spirits the most during this pandemic: finding time to create daily! I have tried to do something creative everyday. Whether that is foraging and arranging flowers, embroidery, painting with my children, baking with my children, dreaming up and designing spaces in our farmhouse, crafting a new project for the blog, organizing and planning for some upcoming Fall events (hopefully), or testing out a new recipe. It has been so good for my spirit!
I believe the beauty in creating is not only in the end result, but in the process! I still have a lot to learn, but I love experimenting with creative hobbies because they really help me to enjoy the precious moment at hand. So cheers to finding your passion to create, whether you are a beginner or an expert. I encourage you to just try because you never know what beauty may come out of the process!
Case in point: I recently spent a Sunday morning cross-stitching my late grandmother's piece that I am determined to finish, while my children played and we watched old movies. It was a beautiful way to spend a quiet Sunday morning. And, it got me thinking that a hobby that intimidated me months ago, has now become a true joy. Just like anything, the more we practice and put ourselves out there, the better we become. Progress over perfection!
I find inspiration to create in many different ways. I recently discovered a new app called Tangi that has helped to spark interest in new creative endeavors. Tangi is a short form video app (most videos are around or less than 60 seconds) with DIY videos in crafts, cooking, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. I am constantly inspired by other creators on the app, and I even added some of my own videos to the app. You can view my profile, here. It is a great resource if you are short on time, or if you are looking for inspiration. I am so excited to try these DIY No Mess Paint Cups from Mothercould.
Please tell me, how you are finding ways to create during this time? Or, what new hobbies have you picked up?
I believe crafting is more fun when we share our projects. Please email me at elizabeth@countrypeony.com, or please tag me @thecountrypeony or #countrypeony to show me your beautiful, custom creations!
Thank you so much for following along and for being here! It means the world to me!
