Country Peony Studio Bathroom - The Plan

We are nearing the end of the Country Peony Studio project, and I am so excited! If you have been following along on my Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok you may know that the lighting and tile went in last week. This week, I plan to install the wallpaper in the bathroom. Once the plumbing is complete and some final details have been added, the bathroom will be done. Before we get there, I wanted to show you my dream for the space.

You can read more about the Country Peony Studio HERE and HERE.

Eventhough the bathroom is small at 60 square feet, I wanted it to have a large personality. The main area of the studio is covered in shiplap featuring Benjamin Moore’s Chantilly Lace. I wanted a clean, white space taht would photograph well in the main studio. So, I opted for mega feminine charm and color in the bathroom. And, I am so happy with how it is turning out!

Please enjoy my design board for the feminine and floral Country Peony Studio below

Lulie Wallace Wallpaper

The first item I chose to jumpstart the design process was the wallpaper. I have been inspired by Lulie Wallace’s art for years. Her art tells a beautiful story with feminine lines and vintage appeal. With the help of my Instagram friends, I chose her Suzanna Wallpaper as the jumping point for the bathroom design process. I loved the delicate nature of the florals, the touch of pink in the flowers, and the unexpected green and blue!

Peach Trim

As a fun contrast from the feminine wallpaper, I knew I wanted a chunky wainscoting in a fun pop of color to go along the bottom of the bathroom. So, I pulled the peach from the flowers in the wallpaper and went with Pretty in Peach by Valspar for the wainscoting and trim. I believe it is the perfect pairing to the wallpaper. It adds a beautiful feminine flair, but doesn’t feel too juvenile.

Custom Pink and Green Floral Tile

I wanted to make a statement with the tile. However, I became discouraged after I sourced several beautiful tile companies and realized how expensive a custom tile job was. So I enlisted the help of my big brother, Joe, to lay the tile for me. I chose some pink and sage hexagonal tile from the Tile Shop. I created a floral pattern, and my brother layed the pattern into some white hexagonal tile. I was going for a vintage, feminine flair. The result is beautiful and I can’t wait to show you!

Feminine Lighting

I wanted a whimsical, yet feminine light to go in the bathroom. I believe I found the perfect trio with Homary’s Modern Gold 3-Light Glass Globe and two of the Modern Gold 1-Light Sconce that will flank the mirror. I believe lighting is a crucial part of the design process. It should act as jewelry, a beautiful accent! I absolutely love how these lights make the room shine!

Beautiful Ceiling

I believe the ceiling is often another overlooked area, and since it takes up so much real estate I believe it should be a focal point. So, I added in some beautiful white tin in a Victorian style from the Tin Man. I love how it shines!

To add to the charm of the ceiling, I included a register from Pacific Registers in the Bella pattern that exudes charm. Yes, this vent cover cost me more than one from a big box store, but I believe it adds so much to the space! It is all in the details!

Sink and Brass Fixtures

Since the room has so much personality, we chose a simple pedestal sink from Pottery Barn to act as the vanity. Paired with a charming brass faucet from Amazon, the vanity is complete.

I am still on the hunt for some charming details for the bathroom, but overall I am very happy with how it is turning out! I can not wait to show you once it is complete!

I appreciate all of your love and support on the studio! It means so much to me. I can not wait to create with you in it!

Thank you for being here!
